Realflow, Blender, After Effects

A personal technical study focused on creating a realistic 3D Coca-Cola liquid simulation using RealFlow and Blender. The goal was to master fluid dynamics, meshing, material creation, and rendering workflows to achieve a commercial-quality result. This test emphasized realistic liquid behavior, surface tension, and visual appeal through advanced simulation techniques.

  • Simulation Setup: Crafted a dense, viscous liquid simulation in RealFlow, tuning parameters like viscosity and surface tension to replicate Coca-Cola’s rich flow behavior.

  • Mesh Refinement: Exported high-resolution liquid meshes using RealFlow Importer for Blender, ensuring clean surfaces and accurate splash dynamics.

  • Shader and Material Development: Built custom shaders in Blender using the Cycles engine, with careful adjustments to transparency, subsurface scattering, color absorption, and IOR settings to authentically mimic Coke’s deep caramel look.

  • Lighting and Environment: Designed a minimalistic studio setup with neutral lighting to highlight the liquid's realism, using HDRI reflections to enhance surface detail.

  • Rendering: Rendered frames using Blender Cycles with optimized sampling settings, followed by light post-processing for color correction and sharpening to polish the final visual.

Delivered a semi-realistic Coca-Cola 3D liquid animation showcasing advanced simulation behavior, smooth surface meshing, and detailed material realism. The project served as a benchmark test for mastering RealFlow and Blender integration, strengthening skills in fluid simulation, custom shading, and high-quality animation rendering for future commercial projects.
