This was a self-initiated concept project where I explored designing a user interface for a smart refrigerator touchscreen. The goal was to imagine how a fridge could go beyond cooling and help users manage groceries, track inventory, and interact with features like recipes, music, video calls, and smart alerts — all from a single screen.

This was one of my first attempts to learn Figma through hands-on practice. I worked as both the designer and prototype, focusing on mid-fidelity UI creation and scrollable layout interaction.

Design Process
  • Started with a rough idea around building a futuristic smart fridge screen UI.

  • Designed the interface directly in Figma, supported by icons and assets created in Illustrator.

  • Built a single-screen prototype with scrollable content — it wasn’t clickable but helped visualize the idea.

  • As it was my first ever design attempt, I skipped user flows or wireframes and dove straight into visual design.

Learning Outcomes:
  • A single mid-fidelity Figma screen with a vertical scroll prototype.

  • Helped me understand the basics of layout, hierarchy, and screen transitions in Figma.

  • No formal feedback, but it gave me the push I needed to keep improving my UI/UX skills.
