FridgeMate is a concept UI designed for a smart refrigerator touchscreen, exploring how a fridge could evolve into a home hub. The goal was to centralize functions like grocery tracking, recipe browsing, media playback, and smart alerts within one clean, scrollable interface. This was my first hands-on UI project, created to learn Figma and experiment with visual design fundamentals.

Process
The project began with a simple idea: what if your fridge could do more than just cool? I jumped straight into mid-fidelity UI design in Figma, skipping wireframes and flows to focus on visual layout and scroll behavior. The interface was structured to support grocery inventory, interactive recipes, music, video calling, and reminders—all stacked in a vertical scroll format. Custom icons and visuals were created in Illustrator to support the interface.
While the prototype wasn’t interactive, it allowed me to simulate how users might scroll through multiple utilities in a smart home environment.
Outcome
The final result was a single mid-fidelity Figma screen with vertical scroll capability. Though it was a small concept, it helped me understand layout hierarchy, visual spacing, and the role of scrollable UIs in compact smart devices. This project marked the start of my UI/UX journey and motivated me to pursue more structured and interactive design work.
